Don't miss

IMPORTANT UPDATE – PLEASE READ IN FULL Trafford Basketball Club is delighted to be reopening and returning to play on Saturday 5th September

Due to COVID-19 there are a number of very strict measures that the club will have in place on reopening and the information below should be read in full by club members and non-members alike.

Unlike our previous arrangements where players and parents could turn up and attend the sessions without any prior contact with the club, this will no longer be permitted (with the exception of the adult’s session on Mondays – see below) as only club members will be invited to attend on a predetermined basis coordinated by the club.

As the COVID-19 restrictions continue to lessen in the coming weeks and months we hope to reach the stage where we can return to our normal operations. Until we reach this point however we would ask everyone to follow our guidance and work with Trafford Basketball Club to help us deliver our sessions safely and effectively.

Membership and Participation

  • Training is for Trafford Basketball Club members only.
  • We will continue to welcome new members during this period.  However, your child must be registered with the club prior to participating in our training sessions.  Membership forms can be downloaded from our Facebook page by pressing the ‘Sign Up’ button.  Completed forms should be emailed to traffordbasketballclub@gmail.com
  • We are no longer accepting cash and payments for all sessions will be made via our contactless card machine on entry.
  • Please note that there are strict restrictions on the number of people allowed in the venue at any one time, in line with Basketball England’s requirements.
  • A list of players for each individual training session will be provided in advance of the session.  This will be managed via a dedicated WhatsApp group for each age group.
  • Please ensure that your child is named on the list for any specific training session before travelling to the venue.  If your child is not named on the list, they will not be allowed to participate.
  • If, for any reason, your child cannot attend training please notify the nominated training organiser at least 24 hours in advance so that another child can take their place.
  • Parents will not be allowed in the venue during this restricted period.  Please note that two coaches will be in the venue at all times. (Separate arrangements will be coordinated for our year 1-2 session).
  • Adults attending the Monday session on Monday 7th September will be required to bring a completed membership form to the venue.  The session capacity is 29 (excluding the coach) so access will be on a first come, first served basis. All sessions will be coordinated via a WhatsApp group going forward.  Players attending the year 11-12 session beforehand will not be allowed to participate in the adult session.
  • Adults should note that the club will be introducing a new session on Friday’s 6.30pm – 8.00pm and further information will be available on this session on our Facebook page.
  • We would urge players and parents to follow our Facebook and Instagram page for on going updates.

Thank you in advance for your patience and support.
